- Extensive CAD Interfaces: Work directly with major CAD formats including Parasolid, IGES, CATIA, Creo, UG-NX, STEP, SOLIDWORKS, Solid Edge, Inventor, ACIS, DXF, DWG, JT, STL, and VDA. VISI handles wireframe, solid, surface, and mesh data—making it easy to machine from customer files or create from paper drawings.
- Automatic Feature Recognition: Quickly detect and extract through holes, open/closed pockets, tapers, and variable land or 4-axis features at the click of a button. Accelerates programming and groups features for efficient, repeatable machining.
- 2 & 4 Axis Machining: Intuitive control over machining direction, offsetting, lead ins/outs, tag distances, and technology for all types of geometry. Easily apply roughing, finishing, and tag removal cycles with clear, bitmap-aided parameter selection.
- Multiple Tagging & Removal Strategies: Automate and manage multiple start holes and tags for both attended and unattended machining. Choose the sequence—rough then finish, or rough/finish then tag removal—for optimum part quality and productivity.
- Automatic Cutting Strategies: Predefined cutting strategies automatically order rough, finish, and tag removal passes. Supports day cutting vs night (unattended) cycles and advanced 4-axis 'null span' and corner modes.
- Toolpath Verification & Simulation: Simulate the complete wire path with rendered 3D graphics—including fixtures, targets, and real-time collision detection. Visualizes slug removal and performs part comparison checks for accuracy and rest material.
- Comprehensive Postprocessor Database: Delivers edit-free, machine-specific G-code for leading brands (Agie, Charmilles, Brother, Fanuc, Hitachi, Makino, Ona, Sodick, Seibu, Mitsubishi, and more). Includes extensive technology data and supports JOB/Script, CMD, and custom output.
